And in a form-follows-function approach to decor, the aesthetic for this Vietnam-meets-Miami restaurant is a synergy of traditional Asian elements, mid-century modern, and street art. The bustling venue provides the ideal backdrop for a queer group dinner gathering or a memorable date.
R House Wynwood
Perfect for both English and Spanish-speaking guests, R House Wynwood’s pan-Latin American menu features a selection of arepas, empanadas, totostones, and Spanish cheese charcuterie. Nathan’s Beach Club
Touted as “Miami’s Premiere LGBTQ Venue,” this South Beach watering hole has been a magnet for gay celebrities such as Neil Patrick Harris, who recently received a shout-out from local RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Malaysia Babydoll Foxx during one of her weekly Sunday Funday live shows. So if you are looking to rub elbows with queer notables on the dance floor, Nathan’s Beach Club delivers.
Wynwood Buggies Tours
Led by the artists behind the iconic murals of the Wynwood Arts District, Wynwood Buggies tours offer an immersive exploration of the neighborhood’s vibrant history and culture. Tours, guided along the streets aboard electric buggies, may also include hands-on experiences like a graffiti class to have your hand at what has made the Wynwood Walls, the private outdoor museum conceived by Tony Goldman and curated by Jeffrey Deitch, a worldwide attraction.
