New Orleans: Gay Mardi Gras – Out in GayCities Season 4 Ep2

When people think about the fabulous city of New Orleans, the first thing that usually comes to mind is the colorful Mardi Gras celebration. The holiday, which has been celebrated in New Orleans since the early 1700s, now draws over 1.2 million people annually (three times the city’s population).

In episode two of Out in GayCities season four, Max Emerson and Kyle Krieger learn about the history of the Krewe of Armeinius, a New Orleans-based organization whose mission it is to preserve the traditions of gay Mardi Gras. Watch as the duo explore the krewe’s costume den and then face off in an epic battle royale!
