Beach 19, Lisbon, Portugal “My favourite European beach is Paragem 19, just north of Fonte da Telha, south of Lisbon in Portugal,” says Queerty user FannyLove. “This again is a wild beach with no buildings or developments, just miles of pale sand, dunes, very dense scrubland and wooded areas, and on any given day between May and October, you’ll find hundreds of men cruising here. beach192beach195 Photos by sarezale & Amagerica
chihuahua1 La Chihuahua Beach, Punta del Este, Uruguay Not widely known yet to those north of the equator, Punta del Este is one of South America’s hottest gay seafronts, and La Chihuahua Beach is where the gays congegrate. “Here one will find gay and nude sunbathers, many from the other Río de la Plata sister nation, and Uruguay’s neighbor, Argentina,” says GayCities user GSM CMDA. chihuahua3 chihuahua4 Photos by JoshOnTheBusalobos Life & Punta06
ladyjane1 Lady Jane Beach, Sydney, Australia Officially known as Lady Bay but widely called Lady Jane, this lovely little beach lies on the other side of Port Jackson Harbor from Sydney’s other gay naturist area, Obelisk Beach. More tourist lookie-loos come to Lady Jane, but not enough to cramp anyone’s style. LadyJane4 ladyjane2 ladyjane3 Photos by frenchoz1 & 妹神
sitges1Playa del Muerto (Cala del Home Mort Beach), Sitges, Spain No matter what language you know it by, Dead Man’s Beach is a gay male nude stretch of pebbly seaside in the very gay enclave of Sitges. To reach it, head southwest along the railroad track for about 15 minutes from Terramar Hotel. Woodsy cruising goes down on the other side of the tracks. sitges4 sitges2 sitges3 Photos by Gig Harmon250a & Javier Ortega Figueiral
sangregorio1San Gregorio nude beach, San Gregorio, CA Just south of San Francisco, San Gregorio is America’s longest continually used nude beach, and it draws a big gay crowd. The setting is gorgeous and romantic, and should the mood strike, you can head off into one of the makeshift driftwood “sex condos.” sangregorio3 sangregorio2 Photos by .imeldaAmy Honey & Garrick5000
